Interview: CannadaBiz That Unites CBD Industry With Blockchain Plans Expansion to Asia
CBD industry has continued to grow in 2019, attracting many experts from various industries: from robotics to blockchain. In 2020, during the Davos World Economic Forum, Future Time Editorial Team had a chance to interview the co-founder of CannadaBiz, Goran Temkov.
CannadaBiz’s mission is to “provide solutions for the global cannabis industry to grow exponentially through the wide-spread usage of a utility token utilized throughout our partners’s digital platform,” reads the company webpage.
When we asked about the solutions that CannadaBiz offers, Goran Temjov has shared that the ecosystem is built on 3 main pillars: marketplace, blockchain game, and CB token.
The marketplace connects more than 80 licensed producers of CBD products with clients:
“We have a marketplace Cannastore.com. For the moment, we are offering only healthcare and beauty products related to CBD. We have about 80 stores that are onboarded, and we have over 200 products”
CannadaBiz is “one of the few companies that are linking North American and European Markets”, highlighted Goran, sharing that in April the company is planning the expansion to Asian market, which is expected to have a huge potential.
The second pillar of the ecosystem is a fully immersive digital collectible-based blockchain game Crypto Chronic with augmented reality components, shared Goran, that allows users to breed and trade their Marijuana on Blockchain.
Together with famous game and movie studio, that worked with Disney, or on Marvel movies, and with Swiss artist, created 4 billion characters, or Cannabis plants that can dance, or change colors. Similar to PokemonGo, the augmented reality feature is believed to lead customers to actual CBD shops for better conversion.
The third is the utility token – CB token that glues the ecosystem together and will be listed soon on LaToken Exchange, added Goran:
Responding to the industry pains, the company has also created a free-speech space, where consumers, companies, and other industry players can share CBD-related information, without the fear of being blocked:
“We also have our social media Cannabook.cio, and over there we plan to build a community in this sector because you know that many people are not able to place ads on Facebook, Instagram etc, and we will give them this liberty to put any ideas…”
The project that started last year now is “in mode to strike partnership with strategic financial partners to be able to market these products, as it should be on the global level,” shared co-founder of CannadaBiz, adding that the team sees projects as widely scaled.
