Robotic Accountant Saved Russian Mobile Operator $790,000
Beeline, one of Russia’s largest mobile network operators, reported it was able to cut its spending by ₽ 50,000,000 (about $790,000) thanks to automated accounting algorithm RobBee.
This automated system was first adopted in October 2018. Since then, it exceeded its work plan by 40%, said the company.
RobBee checks cash records, scours for and then fixes financial shortfalls and calculation errors. It reduced the risk of errors and miscalculations by 90% and spared the company’s staff from 70% of their paperwork while increasing their overall speed of work by 30%.
This year, RobBee is supposed to be taught how to draft procurement documents needed for mobile network expansion. The company management believes that it could then increase the workflow speed by another 26% and replace at least 120 human staff members.
